Group Category provides a way to organize related groups under distinct labels. This feature enhances the clarity of your access management, especially when dealing with diverse teams and roles.
To Access Group Category in the Admin Console
In the Admin Console, go to the Groups & Permissions section.
Click on the Group Category tab on the left.
You'll see a card-based view of Group Categories.
To Search for Group Category
Above the cards, there's a search box. Input your keyword.
Click the Search button.
Matching Group Categories will appear in the cards
To create a Group Category, simply click the Create Category button.
Need to fill below fields,
Category ID: The "Category ID" serves as a unique identifier for each group category. It's like a special code assigned to each category, ensuring that every category is distinguishable from the others.
Category Name: The "Category Name" provides a human-readable label for the category.
Category Description: The "Category Description" offers additional context about the category's purpose and scope.
Metadata Fields: (Optional) Key and Value Metadata fields are an advanced feature that allow you to attach extra information to a Category. This information can be used to add context or additional functionality related to the Category. Metadata consists of "Key" and "Value" pairs.
After filling in the Mandatory fields Click Save button to create New Category.
In the Admin Console, go to the Groups & Permissions section.
Click on the Group Category tab on the left.
Find the Category you want to edit in the card view.
Click on the card's edit icon.
This opens the Edit Category Modal.
Modify the Category Id, name, description, or Meta data as needed.
After filling in the mandatory fields, click the Save button to save the changes.
In the Admin Console, go to the Groups & Permissions section.
Click on the Group Category tab on the left.
Find the Category you want to delete in the card view.
Click on the card's edit icon.
This opens the Edit Category Modal.
Look for the option to delete the Category, often represented by a Delete button.
Confirm your decision to delete the Category.
